In 1986(ish) I received my first timepiece as a gift. This gift came from my brother that had moved out of state and it was the first gift he sent me – “from afar”. I still have this watch today! The addiction was primed.
Our family had always lived in Billings and he was the first one to “break out” and spread his wings. Something I could not understand or fathom at the time. This treasure came from a foreign world (California) that seemed so far from what I had always known that it was almost surreal. Jump ahead, to 1989, and I received my 2nd timepiece (inherited from my grandpa) and given to me as a graduation gift.
The hook was set and timepieces became an important part of my life, memories and feelings. Yes – I still have my grandpa’s Timex too!
Over the years I have collected quite a batch of timepieces (100+ at one point) and most of them spark memories or remind me of times when life was less chaotic and stressful.

Besides the memories and feelings that timepieces conjure up for me — I consider them to be art to be worn and find them to showcase ones personality, in many cases. Watches are more than watches to me and I found that there are others like me out there! So I thought to myself — “why not use my addiction/passion/power for good”…..
